CHASSIX OPENS NEW GLOBAL HEADQUARTERS IN MICHIGAN

SOUTHFIELD, Mich., June 27, 2013 On the heels of it's recent company launch, Chassix announces its move today to a new global headquarters in Southfield, Mich. The 22,000 square-foot site will be home to 150 employees from former Wixom, Mich., and Troy, Mich., offices. The transition to Southfield will be largely completed by July 1.

"Bringing our team together in one headquarters location is just the next logical step in Chassix's evolution," said Robert J. (Bob) Remenar, Chassix president and CEO. A unified headquarters continues the integration of our business, improves communication, facilitates working together and better enables the company to support its customers and suppliers.

Remenar said the headquarters consolidation is another example of how Chassix the automotive industry's largest global producer of aluminum and iron chassis casting, and machining solutions – is improving the efficiency of its operations through footprint optimization, colocation and workforce integration. The company operated out of two locations as SMW Automotive, LLC and Diversified Machine, Inc., before its integration earlier this year.

"Chassix is investing heavily in its chassis, machining and assembly operations in the U.S., China, Europe and Brazil to support a booked and growing revenue stream," Remenar said. "Across the globe, Chassix is streamlining operations, and improving its value and efficiency to better support a diverse and global customer base. Through operating as a lean and smart company, Chassix will continue to expand its leadership internationally."

While many tier 1 auto suppliers shuttered factories and cut capacity during the industry downturn, today Chassix is modernizing, integrating and expanding to support global platforms. Remenar said there is a huge demand for the company's fully machined and assembled castings in both aluminum and ductile iron.

The new headquarters building is located in the 300 Galleria Officentre, west of Telegraph Road and south of 12 Mile Road in Southfield.

Chassix is the only casting and machining supplier to offer 24/7 design and engineering capabilities, with manufacturing operations in the U.S., Mexico, South America, Europe and China.
